Project Echo at the Engine Room
A sonic art piece disseminated via radio transmission, Project Echo is based on a secret government communication system that uses public airwaves. The work is a parody of its inspiration, placing doubt and second-guesses on pop-government and pop-society.

Photos are myself performing a live version of the audio recorded for Project Echo. The set up is Pioneer: digital turntables and audio mixer.
I also constructed a speaker box to play audio from Project Echo when turned on by action of pulling a hanging chain. I particularly enjoy the speaker box's placement next to the galleries utility boxes.
Note my uniform; an all white outfit (leather shoes from 1979, jeans, fencing jacket) and a laser cut black perspex Project Echo logo worn as a large brooch.
This little gig was at the Engine Room in Wellington, NZ on the 1st of September 2010.
