Zine - Oil Spill

Upon completing the construction of the zine a little bit of cooking oil is smeared onto a few of the pages. As the oil slowly seeps through the nautically-themed pages the unprinted paper becomes partly clear, a time-based illustration of the gradual increasing saturation and infiltration of pollution on our dear Earth. If you keep the zine uncovered in your personal zine collection or with other books this one will eventually damage those placed on the side of the cover (the last page is grease proof sticker paper).

Images are collage of my own illustrations and grid designs and coastal pieces of a NZ map printed in 1956.

B&W photocopy, red added manually
Last page a set of 15 stickers of collage
